Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the The Intern Desk mobile application and this website ("the Service"). By creating an account, joining the waitlist or using the Service, you agree to them.
1. The Service
The Intern Desk is a recruiting copilot for finance students. It tracks your applications, drafts cover letters, follow-ups and thank-you notes, reminds you about interviews, and coaches you with AI-simulated interviews. You must be at least 16 years old to use it.
2. AI-generated content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate cover letters, emails, interview questions, feedback and scores. This content is produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing any output before using or sending it. Emails are only ever sent when you explicitly choose to send them. The Service does not guarantee any recruiting outcome, interview, or offer.
3. No professional advice
The Service does not provide legal, financial, or career advice. Output is for drafting and preparation assistance only.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to generate unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or misleading content, and not to submit content that infringes others' rights. Do not misrepresent your qualifications in materials you send to employers. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content; flagged output can be reported and regenerated. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or attempt to circumvent its security.
5. Your account and data
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Your profile, CV, applications and connected-account tokens are stored to provide the Service, as described in the privacy policy. You may delete your account at any time from the App's settings, which permanently removes your data.
6. Subscriptions
Some features require a paid subscription. Where subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID, they renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends; manage or cancel them in your Apple ID settings. Prices shown during the beta may change at general availability; we will give existing subscribers notice before any change affects them.
7. Beta programme
Beta access is limited, granted at our discretion, and may include features that change or break. We may contact beta applicants at the email they provide. Feedback you give us about the Service may be used to improve it without obligation to you.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its design and its content (excluding your data and the documents generated for you) are ours. Documents the Service generates for you from your data are yours to use in your recruiting.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service or reliance on its output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the App or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
